In each city that I visit, I make an attempt to find the local Hard Rock Café. There are always great artifacts to see in each.
Budapest is divided by the Danube into a west side - which is referred to as the Buda side - and the east side - which is referred to as the Pest side. This is one of several bridges that spans the river and connects the two. The castle on the Buda side is visible in the background.

Belgrade was built where the Danube and Sava rivers meet. This day ended with a late afternoon walk along the Sava in the Dorcol neighborhood.
My final destination for this trip was Athens, Greece. Notice the Parthenon in the background at the top of the photo.

Athens was the seat of democracy in the western world, and many of the artifacts from its ancient history remain. There are many museums that feature artifacts going all the way back to the Neolithic period, almost 9000 years ago. Incomprehensible time spans!
I concluded the last evening of my visit at the "A For Athens" pub, visible in the background. This was a great location from which to view the Acropolis at night.
