Building Guitar
1981
I spent several months in the summer of 1981 building a guitar. I bought a big piece of birch from a local woodworking shop. I copied the shapes of a Fender Stratocaster and a Fender Precision Bass and cut the body from the piece of birch. I routed out the body and I added the necks and the electronics from the aforementioned instruments. I laminated a piece of Formica and cut the pick guard out of it with a jewelers saw. |

I was fortunate to get these pictures, because before I had had the guitar for more than a year, the house was burglarized and it was stolen. The instrument (and all of the other stuff) was never recovered. |
